It has been around a week since I told the person who was interested in one of my websites to make an offer. All I received from the person was a silly question asking if I wanted my site to join his network.

The network offer was a strange one, as why would I want to join up giving up valuable advertising space for free? Sure he was offering free hosting, but even that isn’t worth free advertising. So obviously I told him I wasn’t interested and that was the last I’ve heard.

I am kind of irritated over wasting time over the so-called interest, as whether it was genuine, I now doubt. I’m not bothered about not selling the site in question, as I don’t think anyone will make an offer I can’t refuse. But I think in future I won’t be so welcoming to interest for websites that I don’t really want to sell.

Since my last post I haven’t sold any further domains, which is a disappointment. I may have another go in a week or so at selling them.

This week has seen two enquiries regarding the purchase of some of my websites.

One individual was initially interested in three, however, I told him one was not available and the others I gave him the price ranges for how much I’d want for them. He came back interested in traffic and revenue details of just one of them, which I provided. He then gave me links to valuing websites - which I found slightly irritating - and then asked for an asking price, instead, I asked the person to make an offer. At the time of writing I’ve yet to hear anything else.

The other person asking for a price for another website was simply told ‘not for sale’.

I guess it’s good that people are interested in buying your websites, but at the same time it’s kind of annoying.

At present I’m not looking to sell any websites, so unless someone makes an offer for a website that I can’t refuse, none will be sold.

This week I’ve made yet another attempt to sell a few of my domains. The reason for selling is because I’m looking to offload them due to concentrating on developing other projects.

I put 14 domains - which were mainly .infos - up for sale on various forums. This time instead of just asking for offers, I set up auctions with reasonable starting prices.

I thought I needed a hook to get people to view my thread, so I put one of the domain’s starting price at just $1. This meant I could put “Domains starting from $1″ in this thread title.

So far, I’ve sold 2 out of the 14, which considering previously I hadn’t sold any, is pretty good for me.

The last few days I’ve become something on a Heroes addict. I must have watched nine episodes in total. I know I’m ‘late to the game’ as the show is already in it’s second season, but must say it one of the best television shows for years!

Despite turning into a ‘telly addict’, I am planning new websites. I even looked into buying a domain for one of the projects. Unfortunately, as per usual, owner’s have unrealistic valuations over their domains, so I went ahead and registered an available domain instead. I have high hopes for one of the sites, but it’s going to be tough to put together, however, I’m sure it’ll be fun at the same time.
