The auction of FootballTransfers.info at SitePoint ended without any real offers, so it was pretty much a waste of $20. As I said before, it did bring some interest, but when you can get more interest at the likes of Digital Point for free, it really wasn’t worth it.

Currently the site is still technically up for sale, as seen on the actual website, so I’m still open to reasonable offers. If none come along by February 1st, then it’ll be time for ‘Plan B’. I don’t want to say too much about what that entails, but it involves a lot of messing around.

I’m still planning on what I’ll be working on after February. One I’m planning is yet another image host. I ran one a few years ago and I eventually sold it as it didn’t do too well. But I’ve got the domain already, now I just have to find a decent script.

I’ve not worked on any new projects since the Gemma Arterton site earlier this month. Obviously next month is the time when I’ll be going developing crazy!

I don’t think I’ve created a new website for a few months, which admittedly has been frustrating. However, last night I put together a fan site for Gemma Arterton.

If you don’t know who she is, well, she’s a British actress who has just been confirmed to appear in the next James Bond movie, ‘Bond22′.

Apparently she isn’t the ‘main’ Bond girl of the movie, but at 21, you don’t get roles in movies of that stature if you’re not talented - and beautiful for that matter!

She can currently been seen at the cinema starring in ‘St. Trinian’s’, plus also this year she’s in ‘RocknRolla’ and ‘3 and Out’.

The site was pretty easy to put together, unfortunately there wasn’t actually that much information about the actress online, but regardless, it’s been fun to build!

I’m still getting approaches from people interested in buying FootballTransfers.info. Unfortunately it seems for every one serious buyer, there’s another five not so serious.

As I mentioned previously, I listed the site on SitePoint, initially I decided not to put a starting price just to attract bids, unfortunately, the bids attracted were of $1 and $10. I had already put a reserve price, so the chancers were wasting their time and mine.

SitePoint has brought some interest, however, the most serious was from someone who I would have been reluctant to do a deal with. When searching for information on the person, who supposedly runs a successful football kit related website, I found some quite negative things, so I knew pretty much then it wasn’t going to happen. Also bizarrely the person said his ‘SEO expert’ said the site was worth ‘next to nothing’, which gave me a laugh.

It certainly is testing having to deal with people who ‘accidentally’ make low-ball offers like a few hundred dollars, or others who think they can buy the site on the cheap. Currently I’m having to count to ten otherwise I may say something not so pleasant to these so-called interested buyers. However, for now, I shall bite my tongue!
