Three sites bought, one sold
Since coming back online following computer problems, I’ve acquired three fan sites for small prices.
The first was DBerbatov.info, a website about Tottenham Hotspur striker Dimitar Berbatov. The site needs work, however, as the Bulgarian could be on the move during the next few months, I’ve decided to put a much need redesign on hold.
The second site is PrinceFielder.net, which is a small site on Milwaukee Brewers first baseman Prince Fielder. It currently ranks on the third page of Google for “Prince Fielder”. Sadly the content isn’t unique.
Like the aforementioned, the next site, JohanSantana.net, lacks unique content, it also has out of date information too, as the pitcher has since moved to the Metz. But regardless, Johan Santana is a great player, and even though the site needs updating, it’s a good purchase. Another good thing is that it ranks on the second page of Google for “Johan Santana”.
So I’m pretty happy with my buys. I didn’t pay much, and with a little work, they should be good investments.
I managed to sell Faddiets.info. Unfortunately at the time of the auction my hosts decided to shut of all my sites down due to a problem. Turns out there wasn’t a problem after all. Morons. No doubt I’ll be moving hosts in the future. Anyways, the site was sold for just $8, which is a loss. However, it was expiring today, so saved me spending cash renewing a domain that I didn’t want to keep.
