The last few days have been interesting. First off I’d been tackling an old directory script that was sending way too many e-mails about bad links. I suspect it was either the bots of Google or Yahoo who were triggering them. Anyhow, the mails have stopped after inserting spam protection code.

Yesterday I was trying to convert a news database over from some rubbish script to Wordpress. Considering my PHP knowledge is somewhat basic, it was tough, however, after many Google searches desperately looking for ways solve various problems, I managed to do it.

The funny thing after sorting out the news database is that I realised that it had over ten thousand articles, I thought there were a few thousand at best. It seems the database goes back to 2003, which was quite a surprise!

The database is destined for a new site, where exactly I’ll reveal soon.
