Doom and gloom

Posted by Stevio in Domain Names, Make money online on August 25th, 2009

Sadly things over the last month haven’t improved too much, as things are still not going too well.

My attempts to sell a directory haven’t been successful. There was some interest and some offers, but unfortunately nothing acceptable.

Adsense revenue continues to fluctuate. On some days it’s so small you wonder whether putting Adsense on your websites is even worth it.

On Digital Point I came across yet another unethical seller. After I won an auction the seller got a Buy It Now offer and instead of selling to me, he sold it to the person who offered BIN. The seller even admitted afterwards in a private message that he sold it to someone else as he would make more money. I know there’s a recession on, but to act out of greed in such a manner is totally unacceptable.

It hasn’t been all doom and gloom, I have managed to snap up a few very cheap websites. I’m still looking for and registering a lot of quality domains too.

I’m currently working on a website where I’m having to incorporate PHP pages into Wordpress. At first, it was a massive pain, however, I’m now making good progress, and all being well, the site will be online in a few weeks time.

Making Progress

Posted by Stevio in My Network on May 19th, 2009

Well it has been two months since my last post, and there’s been lots of ups and downs, but I’m making progress.

Despite yet another health problem, I managed to work through it and develop a few domains.

I’ve even managed to buy a few websites too. Admittedly, nothing major, just a few cheap small content sites and directories.

I got accepted into Adsense in April, and so far I have to admit, I’m disappointed with the earnings made. I don’t expect much, especially as the few sites I have online have little traffic, but when you see clicks at 1c, well, it’s disheartening.

I’m going to look for alternative revenue sources, I’m not sure what yet, but I’ll more than likely test run a few networks.

So, so far so good.
