Web development frustrations

Posted by Stevio in My Network on March 9th, 2009

One of the frustrating parts of web development is knowing which way to create a website. For example, I have a pretty good domain and the content, I’m just not sure on exactly how to continue. Should I use a script or should I create a static site? Decisions, decisions.

Of course, it’s a pretty good idea to know what you’re doing and how you’re going to do it in advance of beginning work on a site. If not, you enter a phase of ‘down tools’ as you don’t want to start putting a website together only to then realise an alternative way was better.

I think the main thing is not to waste time, even if this means putting the project on hold. Of course, I have plenty of other small projects to work on, hopefully by working on one of them will buy me enough time to decide on how to progress.
